Safety Systems Driver Monitoring System (DMS)*
The Driver Monitoring System (DMS)* in the Subaru Impreza constantly monitors the driver’s attention, to detect whether their attention is waning or if they are starting to fall to sleep, to help reduce the chance of accidents. Using near infrared LEDs and a camera, the vigilant DMS watches the driver for signs of fatigue and distraction and can deliver an alert warning to prompt them to refocus on the road ahead.
Safety Designs Subaru Global Platform
The advanced Subaru Impreza framework and chassis features the Subaru Global Platform for increased rigidity and a lower centre of gravity, to maximise tyre grip for optimal cornering, handling, stability, comfort and safety. The enhanced performance and rapid steering response translate to thrilling driving dynamics, with the platform also delivering a decrease in noise and vibration compared to the previous generation Impreza.
